He also established the Fosgate Theatre Scholarship, which supports students pursuing degrees in theatre arts. In December 2020, UMN Morris renamed its experimental and intimate theatre infinite used for performances and classes the George C. Fosgate Black Box Theatre in honor of his work. A creative studio manager based in San Francisco, Gary has likewise won multiple national advertising and design awards for his 40-plus years of work in advertizing and branding in the Bay Area, Minneapolis, and New York City.
